This is an op-ed inspired by the recent events that have taken place expanding abortion laws. This is long, and parts are graphic. However, before you call yourself pro-choice, I plead with you to read this in its entirety, so to really understand the foundation of Planned Parenthood, how abortions work, and even more so, the Biblical response to such an issue. In addition, this is the first of multiple volumes that will come out on this topic, targeting different aspects of the industry.
Sinners and Sanger
In light of the most recent article that explained the tragic reality of the New York Bill S240 and failed Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (for more detail, read “The New York Bill and Born Alive Bill Explained”), I was inspired to write a more encompassing article on abortion and the industry that runs it. However, before we even get to the topic of abortion, allow me to introduce you to the founder–and her intentions surrounding the multi-billion dollar business. On October 16, 1916, young Margaret Sanger opened the first Planned Parenthood. Needless to say, Sanger had big ambitions–ambitions to wipe out the negro population, minorities, and the disabled through abortion. In addition to her infamous statement, “We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the negro population,” a list of continued quotes from her and her team on the root of abortion are found below:
- “Birth control is nothing more or less than…weeding out the unfit.” -Margaret Sanger
- “They are…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ’spawning… human beings who never should have been born.” -Margaret Sanger (speaking on the disabled and those of color) -Margaret Sanger
- “The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” -Margaret Sanger
- “We’re doing procedures at 17 weeks, so we have fairly large identifiable parts. … And we’re planning on going to from 18 to 20 weeks by the end of the year.” -Dr. Ginde
- “More children from the fit, less from the unfit. That is the chief aim of birth control.” -Margaret Sanger (the term unfit associated with people of color or disabilities)
Her desire for a country populated only by her idea of the superior race and newly instilled abortion tactics to commit a genocide against the unborn sounds a lot like another historical figure we’re well acquainted with–Adolf Hitler. After declaring who the unfit were, “Hebrews, Slaves, Catholics, and Negroes,” she set up her Birth Control clinics only in their neighborhoods. What lead directly to this birth control movement was what was known at the time as Eugenics: the controlled and selective breeding of the human race.
Now, for the real kicker, Hitler–arguably one of the evilest men to exist, was inspired by Sanger! Hitler instituted Eugenics to eliminate the inferior race, and Eugenic Scientists from Nazi Germany actually wrote articles for Sanger’s Birth Control Review. Moreover, members of Sanger’s American Birth Control League visited Nazi Germany and sat in on sessions of the Supreme Eugenics Court. However, after WW2, to keep her name clean, Sanger distanced herself from “Eugenics and began to emphasize Birth Control as supposedly a feminist issue…Eugenics, like abortion, bases all its benefits on denying an entire class of humans their humanity. With eugenics it was the ‘unfit,’ which usually meant the poor, the weak, or simply the ethnicities who were just having too many children. With abortion, there is a perceived benefit to someone by eliminating the weakest and most defenseless of humans: the unborn”(Dale Ahlquist).
To add to Sanger’s fascination with Hitler, she had a dream journal where she would write down her imaginative encounters with him. Describing him as an angelic being, she writes on Feb. 3rd, 1942, “Last night I dreamed of Hitler–- Saw him in a room so close that I could see his eyes wink. Dream not very clear at 3 Am…A bird flew into the room from the window & lighted near me-– It was white & a dove-– Hitler caught it held it up high over my head & told me to pick out a feather–-I did so & awakened.” This, this right here, is the woman who felt a “greater calling” to start abortion.
Needless to say, abortion and Planned Parenthood were founded on evil. Its founder was a racist; she had collaborated with Hitler and his team, and literally had fantasies about the genocide-committing man. Joshua 6:26 states, “Cursed before the LORD is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates.” Planned Parenthood’s foundation alone is built on the bones of the children it has taken, and the mastermind behind the business would’ve wanted nothing less.
